Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026 · Effective date: September 18, 2026
1. Who we are
InsuristQuote (“InsuristQuote,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a website operated by InsuristQuote LLC, a licensed insurance agency based in Wilmington, Delaware. InsuristQuote helps consumers compare Medicare Advantage, Final Expense, ACA (Affordable Care Act), and Auto insurance options and connects them with licensed insurance agents. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through insuristquote.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
InsuristQuote is not an insurance company. We do not underwrite policies. We are a marketing and referral service; any coverage is issued by a third-party licensed insurer.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you give us directly — when you submit a quote request or contact form, we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and the type of insurance you're interested in (Medicare Advantage, Final Expense, ACA, or Auto).
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical data when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring/exit pages, and general usage data, typically through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below). We also look up your IP address directly via a third-party IP-lookup service (ipify.org) when you load a page, and store it alongside any quote request you submit, together with a TrustedForm certificate (see below) — both used to verify and document consent to be contacted.
- Information from third parties — if you reach us through an affiliate, marketing partner, or advertising platform, that source may pass along information you already provided to them (for example, on a related landing page).
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, medical records, or financial account numbers through this Site. If we ever need that kind of information to complete an application, it will be collected separately, directly by the licensed carrier or agent, under its own privacy notice.
When you submit a quote request, our form provider (TrustedForm, operated by Active Prospect, Inc.) generates a certificate recording that the form was completed and consent was given, which we and our Marketing Partners retain as evidence of your consent under the TCPA. See Consent to be contacted below.
3. How we use your information
- To match you with a licensed insurance agent and insurance plans that may fit your needs
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- To send you quote information, follow-up communications, and (where you've consented) marketing messages by phone, text, or email
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, or technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions
4. How we share your information
We share the information you submit with:
- Licensed insurance agents and our Marketing Partners — when you request a quote, one or more independent licensed insurance agents (referred to as our "Marketing Partners" in our consent language) may receive your contact details so they can reach out about relevant plans. This is the core purpose of the Site.
- Service providers — vendors who help us run the Site, such as hosting providers, form/CRM platforms, and analytics providers, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
- Legal and safety purposes — if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or respond to a valid legal process.
- Business transfers — if InsuristQuote is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your Social Security number, financial account information, or health records. Under some state privacy laws, sharing contact information with Marketing Partners in exchange for value may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information — see Your California Privacy Rights for how to opt out.
5. Consent to be contacted (TCPA)
When you submit a quote request, you provide express written consent and authorization for the licensed insurance agents of one or more of our Marketing Partners to contact you — including by call or text made using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice — at the phone number you provide, even if that number is on a state or federal Do-Not-Call registry. This is a solicitation for insurance. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and you can revoke consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Contact us or by asking any agent who calls you to stop contacting you. Standard message and data rates may apply.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and — where applicable — support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions. We may use third-party analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) that have their own privacy practices and opt-out mechanisms.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. California residents have specific rights described in our CCPA / California Privacy Rights page, which also applies as a general framework for residents of other states with comparable privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated more prominently or, where required, via direct notice.
